{"id":2875,"date":"2019-06-24T09:19:42","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T08:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ujanicy.cz\/?p=2875"},"modified":"2019-06-27T09:19:14","modified_gmt":"2019-06-27T08:19:14","slug":"na-rovensku","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ujanicy.cz\/en\/na-rovensku\/","title":{"rendered":"In Rovensko"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Rovensko, 19. 6. 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A list of my duties so far: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Weeding and seeding, <\/li><li>picking up puppy poops from the yard every morning, if Nata\u0161a doesn\u2019t do it prior me,<\/li><li>scything the meadow with Jirka, my buddy, <\/li><li>picking herbs,<\/li><li>a trip to a chalet and goatsfold of Michal and Mislava for some goats\u2018 milk and whey,<\/li><li>playing with pups,<\/li><li>cuddling cats and adult dogs,<\/li><li>going for a beer to the village square and getting some men to build us a fence for enclosing the puppies,<\/li><li>organizing and cleaning out a former kitchen (Petra Jur\u010dekov\u00e1 likes this!),<\/li><li>stamping loudly when picking herbs so I don\u2019t get bitten by a snake,<\/li><li>contemplating relationships, psychosomatics, tao and ayurveda, <\/li><li>second editing of two books and translating.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A list of my challenges so far:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Not to smoke, <\/li><li>not to drink alcohol,<\/li><li>to drink a lot of water,<\/li><li>to excercise joyfully every morning and make time and mood for it,<\/li><li>to eat regularly,<\/li><li>a rhythm in general, as usual,<\/li><li>to know what I can say in front of the locals and when,<\/li><li>a small village mentality,<\/li><li>not to hug people, even though they had helped me a lot, because the only thing they want from it, is to squeeze my ass,<\/li><li>not to slip and fall on the path leading down to the garden,<\/li><li>not to get bitten by an aggressive dog on the street,<\/li><li>to find required tools,<\/li><li>not to step into a pup\u2019s poop, <\/li><li>painful blisters after an attack of a <em>Heracleum mantegazzianum<\/em>, <\/li><li>to tell apart individual village women, they look very alike with the headscarfs, and in addition, most of them are named Ma\u0159ka,<\/li><li>to get tuned up for mental work when there is so much of the physical one around, <\/li><li>desinsection of fleas in my flat, 700 kms away, because a new tennant is going to move in and the previous ones left them there after their cats, fortunately I have friends like Buchta in Brno, who save me.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A list of my joys so far: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The views, <\/li><li>horses pulling a dray with hay through the village square,<\/li><li>new and new tourists, some of them handsome,<\/li><li>fresh cow\u2018s milk, curd cheese and fresh cheese (k\u00e1\u0161) from one of Ma\u0159kas, fresh goat\u2018s milk from M&amp;Ms,<\/li><li>fresh sour dough bread with butter and k\u00e1\u0161,<\/li><li>local accent,<\/li><li>local dialect,<\/li><li>the walks, <\/li><li>cuddling with puppies, especially with Bublina,<\/li><li>talks with Nata\u0161a,<\/li><li>Jirka\u2019s useful common (farmer\u2019s) sense from \u017di\u017ekov, <\/li><li>sunsets (or not),<\/li><li>the amusing duo Jirka and Michal,<\/li><li>the heat, sultriness, swelter,<\/li><li>the storms \u2013 especially those I listen to from my attic nest.
